Melissa Voight

I am originally from Minnesota and recently moved to Indiana.  In 2003, I graduated from Mitch Taylors' Horseshoeing School in Kentucky.  After graduating, I worked under Jeff Ridley of Iowa for a year and had my own farrier business for over 5 years.  I even attained my AFA CF Certification.  I encountered some health problems and as a result put my business on hold.  In the mean time, I earned my A.A.S. in Equine Businesses Management and my B.S. in Equine Science and Agricultural Economics.

Now I am in Lafayette as a Ph.D. student at Purdue in Youth Development and Agricultural Education.  I want to start my business up again part-time, but only for trimming.
